Terms of service

The service

enlarge.photos enlarges photos 2x or 4x with AI, using one of two engines:

• Free runs on your own device. It costs nothing and needs no account. How fast it runs, and how large a photo it can handle, depends on your device.
• Pro runs Topaz Gigapixel models through our processor, fal. It needs an account and is paid for with credits.

We work to keep the service available but do not promise it will always be, and we may change or retire features. If we ever stop offering Pro, we will refund unused credits.

Accounts and API keys

• You need a working email address to sign in. Keep access to it secure.
• API keys act on your account and spend its credits. Keep them secret, do not share them, and revoke any key you think has leaked on your account page. You are responsible for what is done with your keys.
• One person per account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.

Credits and payment

• Pro is paid with prepaid credits, bought in packs through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay; applicable taxes may be added at checkout.
• One credit pays for one Pro enlargement of up to 24 MP. Larger results cost one credit per 24 MP, up to 5. The cost is shown before you start, and credits are taken when the job is created.
• Credits never expire. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or resold, and are lost if you delete your account.

Refunds

• Failed jobs refund themselves. If a Pro enlargement fails, its credits go back to your balance automatically.
• Unused credits are refundable for 30 days. Within 30 days of a purchase, email [email protected] and we will refund the unused credits from that purchase to your original payment method.
• When a purchase is refunded, in full or in part, we remove the matching share of its credits. If those credits were already spent, your balance can go below zero, and Pro is unavailable until you top up.
• If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of contacting us, we may suspend Pro on your account while the dispute is open.

Acceptable use

Do not use enlarge.photos to:

• Process photos you do not have the right to use.
• Process sexual content involving minors, intimate images of anyone without their consent, or anything else that is illegal where you or we are.
• Harass, deceive or impersonate people, or create misleading evidence.
• Get around credits, rate limits or security, share or resell API keys, or overload or probe the service.
• Resell Pro as your own enlargement service without our written permission.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close an account for reasons other than a breach, we will refund its unused credits.

Your photos

Your photos and the enlarged results are yours. With Free they never reach us. With Pro, you give us and our processors permission to store and process your photo only to produce the enlargement, for as long as our privacy policy describes. We do not use your photos to train AI models.

What AI can and cannot do

AI enlargement adds plausible detail; it does not recover detail the camera never captured. It cannot fix out-of-focus or motion-blurred photos, and new detail, especially in faces and text, is a best guess that can be wrong. Do not rely on enlarged images as evidence or to identify people.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be waived by contract.

Ending these terms

You can stop using enlarge.photos at any time and delete your account on your account page. We may update these terms; we will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell account holders by email before they take effect. Using the service after a change means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located inCalifornia.
